BEWARE OF LEASING FRAUDS

WARNING - FRAUDULENT OPERATORS ARE ADVERTISING CHEAP APARTMENTS FOR RENT IN ORDER TO LURE PEOPLE INTO GIVING PERSONAL INFORMATION AND/OR MONEY.

 

This person or people will claim they are overseas. On business or on missions. That they have the keys and weren't able to organise an agent before they left etc etc.  Sometimes the apartment photo/listing is taken from Australian real estate websites.  Often the price is too good to be true.

 

They are usually Reverends or the wife of one who you end up contacting. They will not give any information back when you ask questions and will only take information. They claim to not really care about the money, and that maintenance is more important, but still need the bond and deposits and ask that you take care of apartments on a trust basis.  They may even send you a copy of a passport I.D to be build your trust.  But it was probably acquired from scamming someone else to send their details.

 

These people are frauds. Not genuine and will take you for a ride. not to mention all your money.

If you are unsure about the legitimacy of an add you can always correspond for a while.  It becomes obvious after a few emails.
