I am seeking a preloved childs wheelchair.
Suitable for a child 5 and above.
MUST have removeable tray.
My little boy is starting school in January and I have been told that he can not attend unless he is in a chair.
He currently is transported in a large oversized stroller for special needs children.
He is unable to walk and has no speech , he has cerebal palsy, autism among other things.
He is a client with Disability SA but not NOVITA, he will be accessed with them again when he turns 5. All too late for school.
I have been told it will not be possible to get a chair before next year.
I dont want him to not go forward and go to school.
Its just so ridiculous that such an important piece of equipment is not available to children for such a long time, and he is not the only one waiting.
So I am hoping that their is someone out there that may have a special needs child that has outgrown their chair and will allow me to buy it or even borrow it till my son gets one.
I am on a single mums pension and also get a small allowance (under $100) a fortnight for him being special needs.
I am prepared to pay for it.
Does not need special lumbar support etc, just a tray for his communication card to be put on.
