Hi - I am looking for work in one of the following areas - Software development, Testing roles or Business Analyst. Salary: ??

I am a software developer with 15 years experience in mainframe application analysis/testing/development and maintenance with a lot of exposure in client-facing roles.

I am currently in a contract role in New Zealand and have been asked to take a full-time position but would prefer to explore some options before doing so.

Current position

My own company is currently contracted to perform development/maintenance tasks for a major insurance company based in NZ on their primary insurace application. This is a contract role.

Also at this time I am building a small application for an accountant to enable a degree of job tracking for their sub-contractors.

Work history

2002-2008 - NZ based - Production Support role for major Government ministry application. Permanent role - mostly developement and testing with some client interaction at project levels .

2000-2002 - Canberra with Australian Customs from 2000 - 2002. Role included Analysis/Testing and developement with a lot of client interaction.

1998-1999 - NZ based. - Contract role - mostly development/testing activities - but with significant interaction with accounting executives and end-users.

1994-1998 - (NZ Government IT shop). Major Government application development/analysis role.
