Database Web Programmer
Podmo Mobile (podmo.com) is a highly innovative mobile software company; we are seeking an experienced and passionate web programmer to help us develop a free mobile network. The successful applicant will be involved in designing and building Podmo’s backend systems, especially including the Podmo web server and database.
 
Required Skills:
•    2+ years as a Senior Developer/ Team lead in a Unix/Linux based development environment
•    JSP and/or PHP, XML, HTML
•    Experience with My SQL & SQL
•    Experience with Subversion
•    Experience with centralised Unix-based servers (Apache, Tomcat, etc)
•    Applicants must demonstrate experience in developing PHP and database-driven web sites

Useful Skills:
•    Familiar with the use and configuration of Linux servers (eg Redhat Enterprise, Debian, Fedora )
•    Development experience with n-tier Architectures
•    Experience with Web Services development
•    Familiarity with SGML
•    Development experience with LDAP
•    Familiarity with the use of JUnit and Eclipse

Required attributes
•    Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
•    Verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to work independently
•    Ability to work in small teams
