Hello! This is a black 2008 Vespa LX 50 for sale with only 1653 kms on the clock! (Will likely have a few more kilometers on it by the time it is sold due to trips to the shops and such.)

As you will know, it may be ridden without a motorcycle license and is extremely economical to use!

It's history:

This beautiful Vespa scooter was purchased on 23/6/08 through Manheim Fowles Auctions as a repairable write off. It only required repainting of the right hand side of the body ($750) and a right hand mirror ($50 from Peter Stevens in the city). The painting was done by Fred Distefano at Bumper to Bumper Auto Repairs at Royal Park and the result is fantastic!

Since the repairs the scooter has been through both Regency Tier 3 inspection as well as the necessary Vehicle Roadworthy Inspection (approx. $500 for both). As expected after such a process, this scooter is in fantastic overall condition, it's registered and loves to roll!

On to the reason I'm selling:

Basically, I made the mistake of purchasing this for my partner in the hope that it would somehow give birth to a similar (to mine) love affair for all things two wheeled (and fast). As the Vespa is now gracing the pages of this here site, you can see that I did indeed get it wrong. LOL

Yep, so in a nutshell, it was not to be and now here it is being offered to you!

As stated elsewhere in this listing it has 12 months rego ($300 and the expiry date is 11/08/2010) and a rather helpful windscreen (approx. $200 from Peter Stevens).

Additionally, this auction includes 2 brand new bottles of the recommended Motul 2 stroke oil ($40) and a cargo net.

I've chosen to include the redbook value of this scooter.

This is done so as to preempt any interested parties from offering some obscene amount, for example: Would you take $1,000? Nope. How about $1500? Nope. (You get the point).

For a private sale the average price is $2,600 - $3,100. I've factored everything up and have set my best offer price accordingly. Yeah, so like I said I am open to any REASONABLE offer.

Seriously, this is a really great scooter folks. One well worth the price being asked for it. And that's my story and I'm sticking to it. lol
